Diary of a Wimpy Kid Top Quality

"Diary of a Wimpy Kid" is a great book. It's very entertaining with the illustrations and the way it was written. I recommend this book for someone in middle school, not so much for someone in high school.

I chose the book "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" because I don't really read a whole lot, so I was looking for a book that was fun, entertaining, was a going to be a light read, and this book was all of those things. All of the reviews I read said that this was a great read for kids in middle school, for someone who doesn't spend a ton of time reading. The reviews also stated that this book was a very humorous read, and would keep you entertained and laughing all the way through. And that's why I chose this book. Because I was a very small kid n middle school, and I felt the same way at times just like he did. Like I was in middle school with a bunch of hairy men!

The author "Jeff Kinney" Is very biased and uses overgeneralization and stereotyping in his book "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" the one I noticed the most is stereotyping: In the book "Greg Heffley" refers to certain groups as either "The Nerds", "Morons", "Cool Crowed", "The Hairy Ones", and the "Bullies."

To be completely honest, I'm not sure that the author "Jeff" has any real reason for writing this book. Sure every child in middle school goes through some problems, and feels smaller and weaker than everyone else, but unless this book is about him as a kid, I don't feel that this book is 100% accurate to how life as a middle school kid really is.

I agree with what the reviews were saying about this book. It is really good, funny, and easy to read. But I do agree that this book is for a much younger aged person to read.

So in all, "Diary of a Wimpy Lid" is a great, easy read, but is for a more younger audience. But if someone of my age read this, they would have to have the same humor as me to enjoy it any.
