I bought this book after watching the movie with my 7 year old twin boys. First, the books are NOTHING like the movie. Usually I would say the book is better than the movie but in this case I have to say that the movie was better than the book. Don't get me wrong, the book was still good and fun to read to my kids. They loved all the farting and funny name calling that goes on and they enjoy all the little drawings. We've already started reading book 2.Get more detail about How to Train Your Dragon Book 1.
