I have M.S.s in Math and Physics and have been tutoring my housekeeper's daughter in Middle School Math. I bought her this book and she has read it TWICE! It follows the work she is doing in school and has been a tremendous help to her! I would recommend it to anyone in Middle School Math, whether they are having problems or not.
