Fine enough book, not really a strange and crazy book about dookie though. Well, it's fully my fault for buying it. I didn't realize it was part of a young person's series he is writing. The whole way through the book, I kept thinking to myself how dumb it was. I thought he was a much better writer in the books of his I had read previously, and I kept wondering what had happened. In fact when I gave this book away after I was finished with it, I told my friend how I thought it stunk and felt like it had been written for a ten year old. This is when he informed me that it WAS in fact written for young kids, not an idiot of an adult like yours truly. After I got done laughing at myself I realized the book was probably a decent enough introduction into the ecology of a Florida swamp and had an excellent environmental lesson tucked in it. If you have kids that like vanilla ice cream, cheese pizza and do their homework on time, this would be a good book.Get more detail about Scat.
