My grandson, a 9 1/2-year-old reader, loved this book -a gift from me, his nana. The book is filled with ancient history, which is written in a way that is highly appealing to young readers. As a former reading specialist and library media specialist, I would recommend this book for upper elementary age through middle school. The books in this author's series about Percy Jackson might even appeal to older readers. I have seen adults reading the Percy Jackson series.
