My mother got these books for my step-daughter and at first I wanted to chuck them - another fluffy book about girls playing dressup... but they are much more than that. First off, my step-daughter loves it - and anything that gets her reading, and reading... and reading... is a great thing. The books are fun and are more than the generic writing found in what one would think here. O'Connor created the Nina, Nina the Ballerina (I think that is the correct title) and she continues to turn out great books for little girls.
